A NATURAL RESERVE

Nestled in the heart of the Ardennes region, Bairon Lake has a total surface area of 120 hectares and is made up of two bodies of water separated by a dyke. There is the old pond and its adjoining reed bed, which has been transformed into a natural reserve, and a large lake created for water sports and activities.

The Ardennes Departmental Council currently organises the area's planning and promotion. 

A PLACE FOR RELAXATION

Walking trails, playgrounds and a sand beach make up a perfect spot for relaxation and finding a sense of well-being. The site welcomes nearly 200,000 visitors per year, with more 40,000 people coming to swim and enjoy the lake.

Try your hand at a wide range of water sports such as canoeing, stand-up paddle, windsurfing and more.

You can also enjoy the 5,000 m2 beach and all the joys of swimming and bathing.

This summer, the swimming area supervised by lifeguards is open from 1 to 7 pm, from 15 June to 25 August.
